Why Warrior Awakening

I didn't come to this work from a mountaintop. I came to it from the bottom of my own life.

For years, at stage after stage, I was told I was "crazy." "Too emotional." That I "didn't know what I was talking about." I heard it from family, from friends, from partners, from coworkers — in so many rooms, for so long, that I started to believe it. I genuinely felt broken. I felt crazy, and over-emotional, and stupid. I wasn't. I just didn't know that yet. So I did everything you're supposed to do. I went to therapists and to churches. Most listened for a little while and then told me, in one way or another, that they couldn't help me — or that I already "had all the right answers." I read countless self-help and spiritual books. I begged, at times, for help. I sat in front of medical professionals and said, plainly, I need help — and walked out with nothing. No resources. No next step. Here's what took me far too long to understand: I wasn't broken. I wasn't crazy, and I wasn't stupid. I actually knew a lot of the "answers" — I'd read them a hundred times. What I couldn't do was apply them. It all felt like it should be simple. It should have worked. And no matter what I tried, nothing changed. Then I got lucky. I found two counselors who saw me differently — not as a diagnosis, not as the things that had happened to me, not as what everyone else expected me to be. They saw a whole person. And they helped me name the thing no one else had: I wasn't broken. I was overwhelmed. With their guidance and a lot of my own hard work, I finally learned the part that had been missing all along — not more answers, but the how. How to actually unbury myself. I had lived through a number of deeply traumatic situations, of very different kinds. But through this work, I was able to stop being what happened to me and start being me — fully. That is why Warrior Awakening Wellness exists.

The gap I couldn't unsee

Once I found my way through, I couldn't unsee the gap. Because there is one — a wide one — between the systems and providers that are meant to help, and help that actually reaches you. Between the pretty flyer or the polished pamphlet and the real, patient, person-sized work of change. I lived in that gap for years: doing everything right, and getting nowhere. And when I began walking alongside other people, I watched them get stuck in the exact same place. I do this work to put a dent in that gap. To bring some honesty and awareness to it. And to hand people the thing I was missing for so long — not another list of answers, but the how, and someone who sees the whole of them while they use it.

Who I'm here for

I'm here for the person who has been told they are "too much." Too emotional, too sensitive, too intense — dismissed so many times they started to wonder if they're right. (You're not.) I'm here for the one who has already done the work — the therapy, the books, the endless inner effort — and still can't understand why none of it seems to stick. You are not failing at this. You were most likely handed answers and never shown how to live them. And I'm here for the person who has always felt like too much and not enough at the same time — too spiritual for the skeptics, too rational for the mystics, too much of a believer and a questioner to fit neatly anywhere. If you've spent your life hiding half of yourself just to be taken seriously, I built this for you.

How I do this differently

I start from a place most systems don't: you were never broken. You were buried — under other people's labels, under what happened to you, under all the parts of yourself you were told to keep quiet. So this isn't about fixing you, and it isn't about handing you one more thing to read. It's about the how — actually unburying you — and doing it while treating you as a whole person, not a problem to be managed. That means I refuse to split you into pieces. Mind, body, and soul. Faith and intuition. Science and spirit. What happened to you and who you actually are. You don't have to leave any of it at the door, and you don't have to choose which half of yourself gets to be real. I call this work Unburied & Unbound — dug out from under everything that buried you, and freed from everything that held you down — and it's the thread through everything I do here.

Why I call this Warrior Awakening Wellness

People hear "warrior" and picture a fighter. That's not what I mean. A warrior is not a victim. A warrior is more than a survivor — surviving is where this starts, not where it ends, and I never want you tethered forever to the thing you lived through. A warrior doesn't quit. A warrior gets back up. When life knocks one down, they don't just endure it — they train harder, learn more, and come back better for it. Warriors feel fear. They just don't hand it the controls. They face the hard thing anyway, with their emotions in their hands instead of running the show. And they don't do it by tearing anyone else down — warriors spar. They sharpen each other. Every round leaves both people stronger. A warrior isn't only strong in the fight, either; the real strength is the strategy, the discipline, the mind every bit as much as the body. Which is to say: a warrior is everything we were told we are not. Too emotional. Too sensitive. Too weak. Too much, and not enough. Crazy. But we are. We always were. That's the awakening. It isn't becoming someone new — it's waking up to the warrior who was in you the whole time, buried under everyone else's labels. This work doesn't turn you into a fighter. It helps you finally see the strength you've been carrying all along. Let's find the Warrior inside you and train for the next step in your journey!

If you're here, you're welcome

You don't have to have it figured out. You don't have to feel "ready." You can start exactly where you are, as exactly who you are. However you found your way to this page, I'm genuinely glad you did. If any of this landed as a quiet yes somewhere in your chest — trust it. That's the truest part of you, the part that always knew you weren't crazy, or too much, or broken. It never left. It only went quiet. And quiet things can be found again.

Welcome. Let's dig you out.
